Key accountabilities
The role requires you to be a data specialist with strong technical skills and experience of Retail business data.
The role will entail:
*Extracting and manipulating data from GDW using Teradata SQL or SAS, in order to supply reports to business users.
*Working with sponsors and stakeholders to help shape and agree requirements, helping to translate business requirements into data extracts and reports.
*Investigating and sourcing new data
*Creating automated code in order to reduce the manual intervention required to produce regular reporting.
*Owning delivery of agreed data, ensuring business needs are met on time, to agreed quality.
*Supporting the wider MI team activities, sharing knowledge and ensuring BAU activities are completed.
Technical skills, ideally with experience of extracting data from GDW, are essential for this role.

Keyboard/software applications and Procedural/Product/Specialist knowledge, in order of priority:
*SQL/SAS coding - experience of interrogating and manipulating data in relational databases, such as GDW, is essential.
*Retail - Knowledge of Retail data or processes would be an advantage.
*Excel/Powerpoint - Experience of creating reports in Excel/Powerpoint would be advantageous.
*VBA - experience in building user defined functions and automating processes would be advantageous.
