Large Financial Services Company in North Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Unix AIX Systems Administrator for a critical role on their infrastructure team.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior UNIX AIX Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting the AIX, and other Linux (RedHat, Suse) Operating Systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: System Design & Architecture; Provisioning of new Unix/Linux systems (physical and virtual, LPAR); VIO configuration & administration; Unix OS administration and upgrades; file system management; LDAP administration; Scripting; compliance/security (server hardening); performance monitoring/troubleshooting/tuning. This position will also engineer technical solutions and provide support for all business unit projects and internal infrastructure initiatives. He or she will also be responsible for supporting various ITIL practices and disciplines including: Incident Management; Change Management and Service Management. This position will also be supporting UNIX system migration from Columbia, MD to Westlake, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation and configuration of AIX LPARs on IBM p Series Servers, VIO Servers, HMC administration.
- Performance Monitoring & Tuning; troubleshooting all system related issues; System Design & Architecture
- UNIX/Linux OS (RHEL, SLES, AIX, Solaris) administration, upgrades and patch management; Storage & File system management, Installation, maintenance and configuration of network services (DNS, SMTP, NTP, etc.); System and network security administration; LDAP administration; Knowledge of Scripting (PERL, ksh, bash, etc.); A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; Understands principles of routing and Client Server programming; Strong interpersonal and communications skills; Capable of writing proposals or papers, acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management. Guides and assists clients in defining client needs; Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.

Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and established policies and procedures; Troubleshoots and guides others on a wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad application and functional expertise; Regularly instructs, directs, and assigns work to other team members, monitoring project status; Uses expertise of other team members and leverages a wide range of additional resources to explore/implement complex customized applications as a solution; Acts as a team leader for projects with moderate budgets or of a short to intermediate duration.

EXPERIENCE
7-10+ years of directly related experience. 5-10 years of experience with the following: Advanced knowledge of operating systems (AIX, Solaris, Linux-Redhat & Suse) Advanced knowledge of Clustering, load balancing, SAN, and High Availability technologies Overall Technology expert in Engineering, will likely be Architect or designer for application systems.

EDUCATION
Generally requires BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
