A well respected company with offices in Portland, OR is in need of a Sr. Business Analyst.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints.
Write requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and quality, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those must base their work on the requirements.
Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements.
Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate.
Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
Participate in requirements prioritization.
Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents. Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.
Enter, manipulate, and report on requirements stored in a commercial requirements management tool. Define requirement attributes and facilitate their use throughout the project.
Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.
Manage changes to base lined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
Produce UI mockup screens using iRise.
Create process models using ARIS.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Proven quality focus in providing customer driven-products, services and solutions in a high volume/low margin business.
Should be adaptable, ambitious, and sensitive to cultural diversity while easily establishing credibility with teams globally.
Ability to successfully participate in complex, virtual, and onsite teams in a Matrix environment. Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and to lead others in a directed effort to complete projects.
Identify and estimate project tasks. Report status of assigned tasks. Adhere to Project deadlines.
Strong communication and presentation skills and a proven ability to work with employees and management at all levels of the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 8 years experience in progressively responsible IT roles.
Minimum of 6 years as a Business Analyst.
Minimum of 6 years conducting Information System Design.
Previous experience working on multiple large complex system integration projects within a heavy technical environment.
Previous experience in Application/Infrastructure Lifecycle.
Previous experience with IT Compliance.
Previous experience in Data Modeling and Mapping.
Previous experience in Risk Management.
Understanding of IT Security.
Works independently receiving minimal direction.
Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to independently and successfully lead and/or facilitate discussions with key business and technical stakeholders.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise and easy-to-read functional specifications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
At least 1 2 years working in a TIBCO Business Events environment.
At least 1 2 years writing functional design specs for flexible Web enabled 3 tier applications, utilizing an Enterprise Bus, Service Oriented Architecture, Rules and Complex Business Events.
At least 1 2 years using iRise for prototyping.
At least 1 -2 years working in a global outsourcing model.
At least 2 years of cross cultural experience.
At least 5 years experience in Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding, and/or Contract Logistics.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information.
Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say.
Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
Facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation workshops.
Observational skills, to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation.
Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers, marketing, managers, and technical staff.
Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information.
Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering).
