Very large Fort Worth employer, located in downtown Fort Worth, is seeking a Systems Operations Analyst for a 6-12 month contract role with potential for conversion to permanent. In this position, you will be working a shift between 2nd and 3rd shift. The hours will be Monday-Friday, 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Also, this System Operations Analyst will cover either the 2nd or 3rd shift if one of the other Systems Operations Analyst is needing to be off, so there is a possibility of weekend shift work as needed on either shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Will be monitoring the scheduled tasks associated with backups and Windows Server processes. Will be troubleshooting and supporting a very large server environment using VMware. Will provide deep troubleshooting and support for issues that occur in Active Directory. Will be monitoring SAN activities and performing server provisioning. Will be providing nightly monitoring of server backups using Veritas NetBackup and EMC Avamar. Will be processing of off-site tape media and loading tapes. Will be assigned special projects and tasks related to system operations. Will provide care and maintenance of the Data Center and NOC areas. Will provide after-hours helpdesk support, which are typically password resets starting at around 4:00 AM. Will be opening up tickets with Microsoft as needed. There are 1200 Servers in this environment, the vast majority of which are Windows. 70% of this server environment is virtualized using VMware. Lots of Citrix is used by the business and is supported by this environment.

Required Skills and Experience:
- NetBackup 6.5 and above administration on Windows environment.
- Windows Server Administration and troubleshooting.
- Multi-Vendor SAN/NAS experience (point-in-tome backups, clones, snaps, snap vaults, BCV's).
- Multi-Vendor tape library experience including VTL experience.
- Familiarity with VMware 4.0 and above server administration.
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and remote server administration.
- Microsoft SQL experience.
- Citrix XenServer/Provisioning server.
- EMC Avamar experience would be nice to have.
- Experience with Microsoft Powershell and other Scripting languages a plus.
- Must be able to work independently without supervision.
- Strong communication skills and must be very customer focused.
