Our Dallas Client is seeking a Distributed Applications Developer.

This is a contract to hire position!

Job Description:

Our Client is looking for a senior JEE developer to enhance and support a distributed application that supports the business line.

Primary Responsibilities:
Plans, designs, codes, tests, documents, implements, and supports new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
Adapts frameworks and best practices.
Executes performance and stress testing.
Develops solutions using defined user requirements.  Works with the customer to clarify and further define requirements, as necessary.
May perform other duties as assigned by management or as required by the position.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Six years of proven application development experience that includes creating distributed applications through analysis of specific business requirements.
Six years of Java and JEE programming experience.
Four years of UI development experience (HTML, Javascript, and CSS).
Two years of Ajax experience.
Three years of Spring Framework experience.
Three years of experience developing EJBs.
Three years of experience developing JSPs.
In-depth understanding and demonstrated use of object-oriented design principles.
In-depth understanding and demonstrated use of JEE patterns and frameworks.
Experience with web model view controller (MVC). frameworks (ie Struts, Spring MVC, etc.).
Three years experience with the Rational Application Developer (RAD) or Eclipse tool.
Experience working with Application Server (ie WebSphere, Weblogic, JBOSS).
Four years of experience working with relational databases (MS-SQL Server, Oracle, etc) and concepts.
Three years of experience applying the Unified Modeling Language (UML) standard using a modelling or diagram tool (ie Rational Rose, Visio, etc.).
Practical experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tool (ie Subversion, Clear Case, etc.).
Experience with performance engineering.
Experience with developer testing practices (ie JUnit, Cactus, etc) and understands the differences between unit, functional, and system tests.
Experience with the Unified Process (UP) or agile software development methodologies.
Experience with and is willing to initiate sharing knowledge with others.
Ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
Ability to quickly learn and practically apply new concepts or principles which can be confirmed by experience.
Experience supporting a production application.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience with JPA a plus.

Education
Bachelor's degree is required.
Java certification is a plus.
Education and/or experience may be substituted.

- Group health insurance plans are available to you and your eligible dependents. These plans offer broad protection against the expenses caused by sickness or injury.
