For one of our clients we are looking for an EDA Middleware Engineer.
R&D-IT has the overall responsibility to provide R&D employees, partners customers and suppliers with easy and flexible access to reliable high performance compute environments and technical application layer which is the fundament for the global product development environment. Services provided include easy access to product definitions and business process information. The R&D IT infrastructures consist of high performance compute infrastructures residing in regional datacenters in Emea, Apac and Amec. These IT infrastructures are operationally managed by external partner.
The technical application layer is operationally managed by R&D IT Operations department. The R&D IT Competence Center forms the conscience for IT infrastructure and technical application layer knowledge.The team develops this IT infrastructure and technical application layer which includes architecture, design, roadmap and standards for the client. The team is responsible for IT innovation in the R&D IT domain. The team is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the proprietary R&D IT Middleware software utilities. The candidate will be mainly working on this topic.
Role description:
- The EDA Middleware Engineer is participating in building and maintaining the global R&D IT proprietary Middleware software.
- Participating in software development activities which are part of Innovation projects to enable new technologies in the R&D IT infrastructure like Redhat6, GRID computing (Job offloading across cluster)
Profile:
- Bachelor/Master in Science Capability to Translate concepts into design and implementation.
- Software Engineering experience (including Agile software development)
- Linux bash Scripting
- Programming in python
- Experience with version management (cvs/collabnet)
- Experienced in Technical Computing 5 to 10 years experience
