System Administrator - VMWare - Windows - NetApp - SAN - Blades - Contract - £ per day
A System Administrator is urgently required for a leading global company to join a team of engineers supporting their infrastructure. The System Administrator will be particularly experienced within VMWare in a Windows environment.
Applicants applying for the position should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the following;
- VWare vSphere ESX installation, administration and troubleshooting
- Windows environment
- Ability to perform end-to-end (host to storage) diagnosis of SAN configurations in a multivendor environment, including Storage IO protocol troubleshooting.
- HP DL Servers and HP C7000 blades environments including flex10
- NetApp filers, NFS, and FibreChannel
Experience of the following is highly desirable;
- NetApp configuration, management and using SMVI
- Appreciation of OS and network security
- Netbackup administration
- Shavlik patch management
- Netbackup-controlled LTO-based tape backup libraries
- FC Switches from Brocade
