Description
A new contract position has opened for an experienced IT Engineer with a client based in West Dublin.
Main responsibilities will include:
- General Systems Administration of Unix, Windows and Firewall Servers to an advanced level.
- Server support (application and network configuration)
- Network hardware setup (Switches, hubs, Firewalls)
- Implement back-up and recovery strategies
- IT account maintenance including mail, quotas, access.
- Installation, support and troubleshooting of Unix and Windows 2000/XP operating systems.
You must have the following:
- Thorough working knowledge of UNIX OS in a heterogeneous environment.
- A well developed understanding of the need for operational policies and procedures.
- A thorough understanding of TCP/IP Networking, relational databases and Client Server computing models.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in system administration in a distributed environment.
