Job Description of the Sr Murex Business Analyst:
Responsible for solution design and construction, implementation and systems integration, delivering high quality solutions in response to varying business, customer and system requirements. Tasks performed require developing proof of concepts, design, develop and test systems and integrating hardware, software, and network solutions.
Identify project requirements, developing solution delivery. IT Specialists have thorough understanding of products, offerings and services within their specialty area.

Job Purpose of the Sr Murex Business Analyst:
Deliver high quality solutions and products and perform a (technical) leadership role in support of the solution construction, implementation, testing and system integration.

Job Role of the Sr Murex Business Analyst: Responsible for identifying and documenting requirements and analysing these requirements from a business perspective. They define current and future operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans and solutions) and work with the client and the Architect to ensure proper translation of business requirements to IT solution requirements.

Responsible to translate these requirements in to the global Murex configuration.

MUREX Global FX Options and FX/MM Programme

MUREX has been chosen as one of the TOM Front Office platforms for FM and will be globally rolled out in the FX, FX Forward, Treasury and FX derivative areas. In the first phase the MUREX programme has delivered Murex as the global Front Office and MRM system for FX Derivatives. As a next step the programme will expand to cover the replacement of current FX, FX Forward and Treasury systems around the globe, based on a one single Global Operating Model.
The scope of this programme entails several critical regulatory, commercial and business continuity related projects which are to be delivered within an ambitious timeframe and global environment.

Project assignment
Senior Business Analyst role within the MUREX Global FX Options Programme
Resource is responsible for:
- developing (business) requirements and performing associated Impact Analysis
- translating the requirements into a solution on the global MUREX platform by performing detailed Analysis & Design, Configuration and Testing/Migration tasks
- perform gap analysis on existing functionality to facilitate transition from Legacy onto the MUREX platform
- enforce the Change Management process

The ideal of the Sr Murex Business Analyst will report to the FXO Project Manager. Please note that extensive MUREX 3.1 experience and product area knowledge (FX Options & FX/MM) is a must.
General/Business knowledge of the Sr Murex Business Analyst:
Required:
Experience in a Project driven environment
Experience in a Change Management environment for FO applications
Have experience with Front-to-Finance processes in the area of Financial Markets
Have in-depth financial market product knowledge: FX Derivatives & FX
Able to set up and design curves
Able to validate model introduction in the Murex application (resilience, coherence of Flex models within the application, outlier behaviour etc).
Understand/Define business requirements
Able to challenge business partners during requirements definition.
Perform a full Impact Analysis of set requirements
Translate my client's business requirements into a concise and future proof Murex configuration (tasks include Analysis, Design, and Testing)
Be a sparring partner to the global functional lead

Preferred:
Experience in a Change Management environment of Murex
Have in-depth financial market product knowledge: MM & Interest Derivatives

Technical/Application skills of the Sr Murex Business Analyst:
Required:
Have experience with integrating FLEX libraries in the MX platform and able to assess impact
Experience with the FX/MM and FXO modules of Murex
Broad knowledge of MUREX 3.1, especially the following modules
o Murex pricing (curve configuration, P&L, Vol, etc.)
o Murex general configuration
o Murex data model
o E-Tradepad
Minimum three years of active experience with Murex.

Broad knowledge of MUREX 3.1, especially the following modules
o Murex Exchange (MXML)
o Murex Limits Connector (MLC)
o Request for Quotation (RFQ)
o Contract workflow (pricing & closing)
o Murex GOM
o Datamart
o Settlements
SQL (Sybase)
Unix
Shell Scripting
Social skills of the Sr Murex Business Analyst:
Required:
