Description
This Westlake, TX industry leader has an immediate 6+ month opening for a Senior UNIX Systems Engineer. Will be responsible for UNIX server environments including production incident management, capacity planning, project management, disaster recovery/failover planning, coordinating application benchmarking & infrastructure planning with Architect & Development teams, define monitoring requirements, and metrics/measures.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience with UNIX-based enterprise applications.
Project management or lead experience in a technology infrastructure environment.
Experience with application Servers (WebSphere or TomCat experience on a UNIX platform).
Prefer experience with ETL technologies (Informatica) & Virtualization technologies.
Experience with data replication and DR technologies.
Prefer Oracle Exadata Appliance knowledge.
Prefer a Bachelor's degree.
