Description
Primary responsibilities include:
Administration and maintenance of production scheduling systems, including Mainframe (CA-Scheduler) and Client Server (UC-4).
Monitors Mainframe and server systems to ensure applications meet availability standards.
Resolving and documenting trouble tickets and create or update system documentation along with scheduling installations and upgrades in accordance with IT policies and procedures will also be required.
Routine health checks and performance reporting to ensure optimal user experience and detect potential issues, bottlenecks, or required upgrades.
Additional duties may include Mainframe operations, with occasional shift/weekend work.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience or 5 years of experience as a production scheduler in a Mainframe environment
Technical knowledge of IBM Z/Os operating system
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information technology industry trends and emerging technologies is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Successful candidate would also have the ability to identify, solve, and document complex technical problems and present excellent oral and written communication skills.
Regular health checks, reporting of metrics to determine and improve the user experience, and tuning/optimizing systems for maximum performance and high availability is required.
