Senior Front End Freelance Developer
Industry: Award Winning Advertising Agency
Location: Downtown Chicago (Accessible by L' & Metra)
Terms: 1 month Contract
Starting: March 19th
The client is looking for a candidate to create modifications to slides for an iPad Application. My client had adjustments to project; therefore; some enhancements/modifications will be made to content and there will be new development for project.
The majority of the position will be modifications, but there will be some new development.
All candidates must provide work samples and pass a background screen to be considered.
Summary
The Front End Developer will collaborate with Art Directors and Copywriters to brainstorm innovative ideas, concepts and designs to meet strategic needs. The Front End Developer is responsible for the crafting of stable, reusable code to enhance user experience and bring to live the creative vision. Will report to the Manager of Interactive Development/Front End.
The Front End Developer assists in the visual development and execution of:
- Mobile Applications for iOS
- Web and Mobile Web
- Banner Advertising
- Desktop-based Presentations
- Interactive Learning Programs

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years professional experience
- Strong knowledge of graphics, design and Front End software applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and Flex
- Demonstrated command of programming languages: HTML5, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
- Intermediate knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
- Experience working on multiple interactive applications concurrently
- Proficient in interactive development methods and best practices for varying technologies
- Problem solving, communication and listening skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment in a collaborative role
- Ability to hand-code and troubleshoot technical problem
- Works with code classes to create scalable, reusable code; Documents all work according to standards for distribution
- Understanding of best practices and code standards for web and local delivery
- Experience integrating video and audio into animations, including optimizing file size and playback quality
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assists in recommendations and implementations that bring to life the creative vision through interface and interaction design; Helps determine the most appropriate solutions for interface and interactive challenges
- Actualizes creative ideas into interactive formats and prototypes
- Ensures creative integrity of visual mockups is maintained in programmed templates and interfaces
- Coordinates all initiatives with Back End Developers to ensure proper programming standards and technological stability
Additional Desirable Talents and Skills:
- Expertise in Graphic/New Media Design
- Experience with ActionScript, PHP or .NET
- iPad, iPhone and Mobile Experience
- Expertise in User Experience/Interactive Design
- Experience with motion graphics or 3D applications
- Understanding of broadcast and video production methods and process
- Experience with brand advertising, medical advertising, direct marketing, or promotions agencies
