Service Delivery Manager/Production Support Manager - Investment Bank/Market Risk
VP Level - Upto £120,000 depending on experience + benefits + bonus
A Tier 1 Investment Bank in London is looking for a Market Risk Production Support Manager who will responsible for interacting with business and operations representatives within the Risk areas, IT delivery team and other vendor teams to deliver a complete and reliable risk and compliance platform supporting the Risk function for the Bank. Interaction with senior stakeholders is a regular occurrence so a confident communicator is essential in this role.
The Risk Client Services role will work closely with the business and operations to ensure high quality and stable business service is maintained. A high level of coordination across geographies and with vendor teams is required, together with a proactive approach to Production Management and a drive to make improvements in the value add services the function provides.
The role requires an enthusiastic self-starter who wants to deliver a quality global service within challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be one of the faces of Production Management for the Risk Business and Operations groups
- Be the liaison between Production Management and the project delivery teams to ensure that requirements are understood and catered for throughout the project life cycle in readiness for transition to production operation
- Represent Risk Production Management, facing off to the wider GT Production areas performing key functions for the Risk applications
- Build relationships with Senior Management across Risk Management and Operations
- To ensure that all project controls are tracked (SLA, audit preparation, compliance to regulatory requirements, quality standards)
- Liaise closely with the business sponsors to communicate incidents, system status, and ensure effective escalation processes
- Monitor and proactively manage the vendor support teams working with Service Operations
- Regularly communicate the strategic direction of the Production Management group to the business and IT senior management
- Look for opportunities to seek synergies with other support teams within Risk Production Management
- Review and implement support process improvements, aligning to the ITIL framework and leveraging GT Production best practices
- Manage the log of operational technology issues and to effectively manage problem closure
- Track the daily production issues in co-ordination with Risk Operations and Management
Key Requirements:
- Problem and solution management skills
- Service Level Management
- Experience in the risk and compliance management domain in order understand the clients requirements
- Experience in the application ITIL standards within this diverse and challenging space
- Management experience of global support teams
- Confident communication
- Ability to work with the strategic development teams to ensure production management requirements are met
- Ability to strategically evolve the current production service (such as improved application monitoring and capacity planning)
You will have:
- Experience in incident/problem management and root cause analysis of problems
- Experience managing off and on shore vendor teams and resources, including commercial models
- Experience of Compliance operations, Front Office Risk or similar area is a core requirement
- Experience in end to end application and infrastructure technologies including Front End, data models, Scripting, database & operating system
- Experience in an ITIL environment, ideally Foundation qualified.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable - keen to learn new technologies and to extend business knowledge
- Demonstrated high attention to detail
- Structured and organized approach
