We require a QA Engineer for a 6-12 month contract based in Dublin.QA Engineer Profile:
We are currently looking for a Senior QA Engineer with the relevant technical expertise.
The role requires good interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, a team player attitude with attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership of assigned projects. These delivery oriented candidates must be able to respond to rapid change working in a fast paced Agile environment and demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills while producing value added results.
Responsibilities include:
- Create functional and regression test plans and test cases.
- Execute test cases adhering to automation and manual procedures, processes, and best practices.
- Work with project team to clearly understand requirements and test data needs.
- Contribute to project schedule on QA tasks and balances work accordingly to meet timelines.
- Participate in formal reviews of application designs, business and functional requirements.
- Initiate and own test cycle tasks including schedule/conduct triage meetings, create/send daily test reports, and seek defect resolution.
- Identify functional tests to be used for regression tests and gain consensus from project team.
- Build automated regression tests.
- Capable of working independently to resolve issues and/or identify solutions.
- Ability to escalate technical and functional issues in an effective manner and efficiently resolve these in conjunction with the rest of the team and/or the customer.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
At least 5 years Quality Assurance experience with functional and regression testing methodologies
Experience of Web services testing and Soap tools eg Soap Sonar
Experience of Scripting tools eg QTP would be advantageous.
Experience working on Agile projects.
Experience in Rational Products ( Rational Test manager, Rational Quality manager, Rational Functional Tester, rational team Concert)
Excellent writing, communication, and time management skills.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Must be extremely motivated, self directed and ability to multi-task.
Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with all members of small to large project teams including customer application teams.
