Description
Sr. Software Product Manager needed for a career opportunity that begins with a 6 month contract and then is expected to convert to be a PERMANENT FULL-TIME position with a successful Fortune 500 software company. This company has a profitable SaaS services delivery division in the Triangle Area and is headquartered in the North East. The Sr. Software Product Manager leverages a portfolio of shrink-wrapped commercial IT Infrastructure Monitoring Software products and repackages them as SaaS CLOUD (Software as a Service) IT Infrastructure Monitoring Software product offerings that capture large global market opportunities. The market opportunities have already been identified. The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for understanding the shrink-wrapped product portfolio, leveraging internal sales relationships to meet with clients, communicate the SaaS value proposition, facilitate requirements gathering, communicate SaaS portal development requirements to internal Software Development Teams and to internal SaaS Operations Delivery Teams. The Sr. Software Product Manager then helps drive development and implementation of the SaaS offering. The deliverable is development of portal based SaaS product offerings, release of those product offerings, and successful and profitable delivery of SaaS services.
Required Skills/Attributes:
- Software Product Management - 10+ years
- IT Infrastructure Monitoring Software experience - preferred
- Communications Industry - (Telecommunications services industry experience within the US or outside of the US) - preferred
- Market Objectives - establishing and owning
- Partnerships - working with existing clients to develop SaaS channel partnerships
- Product - Define the product offering
- Price - Define price/demand/cost relationships and ROI targets
- Prioritize opportunities in your pipeline
- P & L - own profit and loss for your SaaS product initiatives
Must be able to travel in North America and abroad as needed (approximately 25% of the time) This position starts with a 6 month contract which is expected to be converted to become a permanent career position with a profitable software company.
