A large national organisation is currently looking for an experienced Helpdesk/Support Assistant to join their friendly team. This role will require you to support the AOCIT Information Technology platforms, staff, systems and applications in the lead up to and during the 2012 London Olympic Games. You will also be involved in the coordination and implementation of the results services for the 2013 Australia Youth Olympic Festival.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day to day advice and solutions to user
  • Perform application updates and bug fixes
  • Work with administrative and technical staff to determine information needs
  • Check systems in order to optimise performance and as instructed initiate recovery actions after system failures
  • As instructed implement regular housekeeping procedure, including data backup
  • Perform system updates and replacement of Old' versions
  • Provide assistance in testing new equipment and systems
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation on the operation of systems

To be considered for this role the candidate must have:

  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Content Management Websites
  • Microsoft Windows 7 and Office 2007, Backup Exec Platforms
  • MS Office Application, IE & MS Outlook
  • Database Management Skills
