Functional Finance Lead URGENT requirement with the followinfg key responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on the Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Mgt) and support users with the resolution of functional systems issues and queries as required
  • To be the focal point for Finance systems matters
  • Develop a support network in each location and facilitate knowledge sharing (eg holding user group forums)
  • Identify (on-going) training requirements, ensure adequate training resources are in place and to maintain or develop training plans/material to ensure that all system users are trained appropriately
  • Drive continuous process improvement in the Finance area. This includes proactively identify system improvements, including identification and incorporation of best practices from other leading organisations where possible and assessing finance area submitted system improvements.
  • Ensure key Finance stakeholder requirements are captured and consolidated with other areas so they can be prioritised by the Governance Committee
  • Ensure full alignment with the global Finance Process Lead and Finance Leads in other regions
  • Facilitate and support the Global Process Owners with the creation and maintenance of standard Finance process documentation and to develop specific documentation where required.
  • Drive proactive communications to Finance user community and regional managers as required
  • Approve new user access and changes to access for Finance

Requirements
The successful candidate will have:

  • Comprehensive functional knowledge of Oracle V11 Financials modules (General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Mgt, Fixed Assets) including basic configuration management and cross-functional knowledge of integration with other modules
  • Commerce degree with relevant operational accounting experience. Formal accounting qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle V11 Projects Accounting modules (basic project functions and needs around billings, internal and external reporting, cost data for both labour and non labour, management of purchasing through Oracle and feed into our external cost control processes) including basic configuration management and cross-functional knowledge of integration with other modules
  • Training experience, both preparation of training material and delivery of training
  • Experience in a customer/client service role would also be highly regarded.
