Skills: Implementation Manager - Retail Banking - Customer Migration
Overview:
The Complex Migrations programme will automatically migrate High worth Corporate Customer accounts onto the new core banking systems during the summer of 2012. There will also be an element of manual migrations that will take place during this time.
Core duties of the role:
The Implementation Manager will be working in a cross divisional project team, involved in the migration of high value customers and supporting the business through the migration into BAU support.
The core deliverables that the Implementation Manager (IM) is responsible for are:
- Implementation strategy/approach/scope documentation.
- Implementation Plan including Business Readiness planning.
- Implementation Schedule of Events (SOE) including defined back out strategy and contingency plans.
- Command and Control definition and governance packs.
- Communications and Training for Implementation.
Core skills and experience required:
- Implementation skills gained within the financial sector:
- Stakeholder and senior management liaison.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Experience of Matrix management.
- Managing issues post implementation and during warranty period within the context of an overall programme framework.
- Experience of leading large migration events.
Desirable Skills
- Managing teams consisting of permanent and contract members.
- Project methodology (Prince2/Agile) experience.
