Overview:

Wholesale Operations (Wops) Pan Ops Simplification Programme has been established to support Wops in their E2E simplification journey and cost challenge. The programme covers a number of initiatives that have passed FBC and are in delivery and other additional initiatives that are currently in their idea stage. The Pan Ops programme will be required to understand these additional initiatives and determine what costs and benefits are associated with them, build the initiatives through the FBC process and thereafter support their delivery and implementation.

Core duties of the role:

  • An experienced senior project manager is required to take responsibility for the above from initial agreement, impact assessment, business case to design and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain effective working and influencing relationships with stakeholders and colleagues in own and other business units impacted by the programme.
  • Work in a project team with cross stakeholder representation to deliver objectives initially business case development.
  • Collaborate with the appropriate workstream leads to ensure deliverables are aligned including the following.
  • Analysis of Business Requirements in order to determine an assessment of Impact on business teams.
  • All project deliverables for workstream including Plans, RAID logs, status reporting, budgets etc to be completed on time and to quality.
  • Quickly build and maintaining a high level of knowledge on relevant systems, processes, and new developments appropriate to own projects.
  • Communicate and implement change ensuring all those affected fully understand the benefits, nature and implications of such change.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all assigned activities.

Core skills and experience required:

  • Able to display a good understanding of change management
  • Well versed in project methodology
  • Able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to meet challenging deadlines
  • Quickly build and maintaining a high level of knowledge on relevant systems, processes, and new developments appropriate to own projects
  • Able to hit the ground running, quickly assimilate information and deliver

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience of working in a corporate/commercial banking environment
