Mainframe Analyst/Programmer - Our client, a leading financial organisation is urgently looking for a Mainframe Analyst/Programmer to join their team. As Mainframe Analyst/Programmer you will analyse IT applications according to the internal project development methodology. You will independently analyse existing Mainframe programs relating to functional areas (security settlement, banking, custody) and will handle impact analysis, and produce program specifications. Further responsibilities include programming and handling unit testing, also keeping a focus on quality and remaining within budget.
Mainframe Analyst/Programmer skills required:
- Extensive experience with PL/1, DB2, SQL, VSAM, CICS, JCL, ISPF, MVS, MQ Series
- Extensive experience building test strategy and test cases for unit testing
- Extensive practical knowledge in structured programming
- Extensive management information reporting experience
Mainframe Analyst/Programmer desirable skills:
- Open and flexible minded, able to adopt client's guidelines for design, coding and testing
- Good communication skills - French or Dutch speaking a bonus
- Telon, SAS base, MQ, Pathway
- Financial experience (securities settlement) with application development experience
