Description
Xpanxion is an Atlanta, Georgia based software development and quality assurance consulting company with over 14 years experience. We are looking for both junior level and senior level Automation QAs to work in our newly opened Ames, IA Quality Assurance Center.
- Candidates should be well-versed in several different automation approaches, know how to build a framework, know modular test script design, and know how to extend QTP using other types of automation.
- Experience with SQL and databases - should know how to write queries to mine data from a data source; should know how to write scripts using the SQL statements to move automation into deeper levels.
- Should know how to take a manual script and convert it to an automated script.
- Solid understanding of QA practice - know how to write solid manual test plans, know what type of process should be in place for QA to work most effectively, know where QA fits into the overall development process, etc.
- Leadership experience - leading a small team of up to five resources; able to manage their own tasks and the tasks of others efficiently and effectively. Able to lead, teach, mentor, motivate, admonish as needed (this applies to the senior level employee)
- Good client facing skills. Needs to have polish and tact; needs to know how to speak to all levels of an organization; knows how to use diplomacy get a point across or tell someone an idea may be incorrect. Someone who's not afraid to ask questions to get over a hurdle, and someone who knows what questions are the right questions to ask for a given situation.
