Large Financial Services Company in the North Fort Worth area is seeking a Senior Web Services Engineer for a 3 month contact-to-hire opportunity.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The corporate Web Services Engineers on this team are responsible for supporting the corporate DNS Environment, the corporate SSL Certificate Infrastructure, multiple shared and dedicated application/website environments utilizing a multitude of applications (Apache, IIS, WebLogic, Tomcat, MicroStrategy, ALBPM, ALSB, PHP, ColdFusion), the WebTrends Infrastructure, Google Search appliances, and the hosted FTP Infrastructure. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: on-boarding of new websites; code deployments using Repliweb and home grown applications; application/website infrastructure administration and upgrades; working with customers to architect website environments; performance monitoring/troubleshooting; Scripting; implementing DNS requests; SSL certificate approvals/renewals; security vulnerability resolutions; and on-call rotation.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 years experience in the web hosting arena.
- High level understanding of web applications and their infrastructure.
- High level understanding of load balancing, clustering and other HA methodologies for web applications.
- 5 years experience with UNIX (preferably Linux or Solaris).
- 5 years experience with Windows and IIS.
- 4 years experience with Apache Server (recent knowledge of Apache 2.x).
- 4 years experience with WebLogic Server.
- High level understanding of HTML, PHP, JavaScript, CGI applications and other web languages.
- Ability to quickly learn web-based application tools.
- High level understanding of not only the web environment, but also the network, security and database environments.
- Able to make strong technical arguments, while valuing the input of others.
