Our client is a market leading superannuation firm that has offices in multiple locations Australia wide. They have several high profile projects kicking off in the coming weeks, due to significant need from several business departments. Due to these demands, they are now looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join the team and assist in the delivery for these projects.

You will work the end to end analysis of key business processes, involving producing requirements, documentation analysis, data extraction and analysis, conducting requirements workshops, developing use cases, workflow analysis through to client management and implementation.

As a Business Analyst you will be required to evaluate and gather business requirements from company stakeholders and collaborate with the other technology teams. This will enable you to produce the requirements documentation needed for this project.

Requirements of the role:

  • Good knowledge of financial services industry with specific superannuation industry knowledge.
  • Prepare detailed business requirements documentation for new and improved functionality in the superannuation administration system.
  • Obtain a detailed understanding of the data within the database and be able to diagnose data problems and fix.
  • Implement a comprehensive and rigorous testing regime around acceptance of solutions implemented
  • Troubleshoot problems utilising database tools and develop routines to ensure data accuracy.
  • Adhering to documentation structures and standardised documentation processes throughout IT
  • Assist in producing a general testing regime throughout IT
  • Learn and assist with data requirements for finance from the administration system, as well as for other operational areas.
  • Ability to support or assist in supporting the analysis and extraction of financial reports for the purpose of reconciliation of data
  • Sound SQL expertise
  • Ability to support or assist in supporting the analysis and extraction of financial reports for the purpose of reconciliation of data
  • Ability to analyse a business requirement and to detail that requirement in a form that enables a software supplier top provide a solution
