SQL Server Database Specialist/Developer

We have a new contract position available for a SQL Server Database Specialist/Developer.  The role is with a government organisation in Sydney, they are located in the CBD. The program seeks an experienced and competent DBA with a broad range of skills and competencies to be part of its System Development & Support Services Group.
  
Skills Required;

• Solid experience in large scale data migration/data quality projects
• Solid experience in working with application development teams (Siebel, .Net, Web Services etc).
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years commercial experience in database administration and design with Microsoft-based systems.
• Experience writing SQL Server stored procedures and complex queries using T-SQL

Sound understanding of the following software products, including but not limited to

• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and above.
• SQL Server development tools, SSIS, DTS
• Data validation, de-duplication & Master data management tool
• Internet Information Services (IIS) & Active Directory
• Windows Server 2003 and above
• Siebel CRM experience and understanding of the Siebel Data Model is an advantage
• Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) data warehouses & reports/Informatica data mapping is an advantage.
• Design, implementation and supporting of databases and database programs to meet client system specifications;
• Experience in resolving SQL Server performance issues.
• Ability to tune SQL Server databases;
• methodology standards including agile;
