Senior Network Engineer - Juniper, Cisco, Banking, Trading
Have a proven track record in supporting large network estates is essential in addition to having good leadership skills and an ability to ensure that high standards are defined, maintained and evolved.
Responsible for the service provision and monitoring of the network infrastructure to an enterprise standard.
Be the key es calation point in the day to day management of major trading production systems.
Ensure the m aintenance, evaluation, development and support of the network environment that supports these systems and the businesses needs.
Broad range of responsibilities across varied technologies to ensure maximum system availability. Helping to build a secure and scalable technology platform. Being responsible for the live/production infrastructure and the internal office systems whilst assisting with major projects focused around the network architecture.
Must be willing to work aftwer trading hours; after 10pm weekdays and weekends
7+ years experience in network implementation, design and data centre rollout
Lead by example with very strong technical knowledge of Juniper/Cisco hardware (Routers, Switches, VOIP and security devices) and software/protocols within a) LAN and b) WAN environments - preferably with international/global exposure.
Firewalls, ASA,VPNs, Juniper SRX Firewalls configuration and implementation, for both SRX branch office and Data Center Firewall
Citrix Netscalers
Cisco VOIP, call manager
Juniper MX80, J Series,
Juniper SRX clustering and high availability design, configuration, and implementation Juniper EX series switching from branch office upto Data Center switching.
- Extensive understanding and experience of implementation in IP routing protocols EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, Mulitcast
- Spanning Tree troubleshooting
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnoise and fix network issues which are service affecting.
- Knowledge of Low latency trading applications architecture, network operations and performance tuning.
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment and ability to work under strict project deadlines
DESIRABLE
- Proven track record/experience/certification in one or more of the following technologies
- Poxy installation and configuration, Blue Coats
- Load balancing
- Implementing and managing monitoring systems (Solarwinds) CCDP, CCNP, CCIP, CCIE, CCDE or
- Industry recognised qualification such as (Cisco) (Juniper) JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE
