JOB SUMMARY:
The Web Developer will design and develop web sites and web applications. Must be proficient with HTML, CSS, and design software such as; InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Designs and maintains the center web site including both Internet and Intranet, utilizing current technology in IIS, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Classic ASP, JavaScript, and Ajax to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the web presentations of center information. Serve as backup for Section 508 Compliance scanning for Internet and Intranet pages and documents. Plan, construct, and maintain databases for data storage, manipulation and retrieval. Performs fact-finding, design, software surveys, and/or cost/benefit analyses for new or modified computer applications resulting in the design or modification of systems. Evaluates vendor-developed software available over the counter for defined system and subject matter applications. Develops applications programs for a variety of software applications in support of the assigned organization. The work includes the preparation of programming specifications such as inputs, outputs, flow diagrams, decision logic tables, and linkages with other applications systems; developing block diagrams and program coding; and testing, validating, and documenting programs.
