We are looking to kick off a SharePoint 2010 initiative that would include enterprise Intranet portal design, document management, implementation of various business workflows across all departments, and integration with internal web/desktop applications. The Senior Business Analyst should understand at an expert level, the detailed features and functionality of SharePoint 2010 from a user and technical aspect. This resource will work closely with a development team to develop and coordinate business requirements and development work between business users and technical staff. Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation. The right candidate will have skills in both business analysis and technical specification design, with an understanding of SharePoint's best practices and experience in a variety of SharePoint solutions, such as team sites and portals. The Senior Business Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to implement new and enhanced applications using a common framework.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Map complex user requirement to Out of the Box SharePoint functionality - avoiding custom code where possible
Lead, define, leverage, and implement processes to define and institutionalize architecture, standards and meta-attributes
Work with the business to analyze business requirements and review/produce specifications for any new/change to technology applications
Responsible for identifying, assessing, and documenting business requirements, recommending business priorities, and advising business on options, risks, and costs
Analyze impact of proposed solution across the site, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews
Lead JAD sessions, rapid prototyping and system demonstrations for users

Experience and Skills:

5+ Years of SharePoint experience with at least 1 year of SharePoint 2010
Responsible for full life cycle from Requirements, Functional Specification, UAT, and Deployment
Excellent understanding of SharePoint Technology, an understanding of the system development process and the ability to be effective in a demanding, multi project and multi team environment
Background in projects involving enterprise portals, content management systems, multi department workflows, web services and Business Intelligence integration
Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modelling concepts, business systems development and analysis
Excellent oral and written communication/soft skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
Excellent ability to deliver results with changing priorities and ad hoc deliverables within tight timeframes
Ability to excel in a fast paced and high pressure environment
Creative individual with an eye for detail and problem solving skills
Experience using standard project tools including Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science MIS or related field
