Description
Automotive Industry leader is seeking 2 Windows Systems Engineers with Enterprise experience. You must have experience supporting at least a couple of 100 Servers as well as understanding working in a .com and 24X7 environment. Troubleshooting with MS and Windows with attention to detail is critical.
One role will work on the Symmetric Anti-Virus roll out. They are moving from using from McAfee as the Anti-virus tool. Due to the nature of their business some of this work for Production could be at night or on the weekend. Possible that some work of these off hours could be done at home.
Second role is backfill for other engineers from the team that will be working on the new Anti-virus rollout. They will be doing windows infrastructure support work....DNS, Active Directory, change management, etc.
In addition, the successful Systems Engineer must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects. To be successful in this role one must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment. This role requires good communication skills, both with team members and business contacts. .
Qualifications:
- 3+ year System administration experience with server installations running Microsoft Windows or UNIX (Linux)
- 3+ year experience writing and maintaining scripts in multiple languages
- 1+ year experience with security and network/distributed computing concepts
- Prior experience with 3 or more versions of operating systems in the technology discipline
- Certifications in technical areas (eg MSCE, Avaya, RedHat, VMware) are a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
