Description
Industry leader actively looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer who will be responsible for all phases of the software development life cycle for new and existing programs. The position involves daily interaction with other team members and members of other departments within the company to deliver a quality product in a timely manner. This is a 6 month contract to perm opportunity!
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in a related area (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Services, Management Information Services) or equivalent industry experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design, modify, implement, and document software application changes.
Provide accurate estimation of development effort and input into project timelines.
Maintain responsibility of assigned tasks by using experience and knowledge of environment to make development decisions.
Work in a challenging cross-functional team environment.
Work under the supervision of a Team Lead or Manager.
Other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
Strong C# Skills (2+ years).
Object-Oriented Design Skills.
Client Server Programming Skills.
Multi-threaded Development.
SQL DB Admin and Query Design.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
.NET 3.0 Framework Experience (WCF, WPF) strongly preferred.
XML API Knowledge (XPath, XML DOM, etc) preferred.
C++ Development Experience.
COM Interop Experience.
ActiveReports.
