Our Dallas Client is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who is flexible, innovative, and has rock solid skill for a small agile team environment. 4 Month contract to hire position.
Responsibilities:
-Ability and willingness to work with evolving requirements and eager to participate in this process.
-Setup and support a totally transparent quality and testing process.
-Obtain testing requirements from various and high level information sources.
-Seek out team feedback on test coverage, proactively hold test coverage reviews.
-Ensure high quality and timely releases by smart choices and tight team collaboration.
-Identify appropriate level of test deliverables for iterative development cycles and actively collaborate to refine deliverables.
-Develop and maintain test deliverables in a fast-paced environment. May include automation, where possible.
-Execute manual or automated test cases and quickly provide feedback on iterative releases.
-Provide accurate QA turn-around estimates for build and release testing.
-Create and maintain test coverage information and reports.
-Isolate, replicate, report defects as close to the code change as possible.
-Verify defect fixes and correct any associated coverage gaps.
-Continually innovate on testing improvements.
-Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to team managers.
-Liaison with development, product management, and customer support for test and QA related functions.
Requirements:
-BS or BA degree required.
-5+ years of relevant QA technical experience.
-4+ years enterprise or E-business systems experience.
-Mobile QA and testing expertise with various devices, OS, emulator, services and APIs.
-Have to be able to write SQL query's from scratch.
-Mobile experience with client side and browser based applications.
-Excellent understanding of Quality Assurance and how to adapt for agile and possibly distributed projects/teams.
-Ability to provide accurate estimates.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Hands-on experience with API, web service and/or web application testing.
-Knowledge of SQL Server; ability to query and manipulate data. (Experience writing SQL queries for data validation, manipulation and verification is a must).
-Knowledge of Windows environments and browser based test validation.
-Experience with QA tools bug/defect tracking and test management.
-Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
-Strong time management skills.
-Experience using multiple web browsers (Webkit experience desirable).
Additional Skills Desired:
-Knowledge of any Programming Language.
-Experience with tools such as Fiddler or JMeter.
-Mobile native client device automation.
-Experience with Device Anywhere or similar service.
-Experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM is desired.
-Test Automation development and maintenance expertise.
