Description
My client is a busy NHS trust that is looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager on a 1 month contract (with the possibility of extentions), starting as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a consistently professional approach to financially managing contract change and risk within several key contracts. They also need to ensure that there is adequate visibility of costs (including the application of overheads, margin and risk) within financial models by working with suppliers and internal partners to enable demonstration of Value for Money.
The successful candidates must have the following knowledge/experience:
. Extensive experience and proven track record of operating at a senior level, financially managing complex and high volume commercial contracts within an IT services contract environment.
. Experience of Programme Procurement Practise inc. OJEU gained working for a blue chip supplier.
. Significant experience of creating and operating complex financial modelling and forecasting tools within an IT services contract environment.
. Significant experience of budgeting, forecasting and analysis on high value complex contracts in an IT services environment.
. Commercial acumen and proven ability to negotiate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
. Successfully worked closely with internal and external stakeholders at director level.
. Experience in applying rigour to the financials and production of accurate numbers unaided.
. Experience in the production of concise, informative and user-friendly financial reports to the standard required by senior directors.
. Experienced in proactively identifying potential breaches of governance and dealing with them effectively.
. Experience in dealing with conflicting priorities, able to prioritise effectively and deliver to deadlines.
. Experience of coaching and training colleagues.
. Experience of leading a team.
