Description
Primary responsibilities include:Development of logical designs and facilitation of IT based solutions thru extensive collaboration with business clients
Prepare, present or collaborate on all required artifacts and deliverables including, but not limited to: Concept Description, Solution Alternative Analysis, Requirements, Logical Design, Business Case, Risk Management Plan, and Project Timeline.
Provide subject matter expertise and project support thru the entire project development life cycle
The Solution Consultant Lead is responsible for coordinating solution work across the national and regional constituencies to ensure applications are delivered and perform effectively for all stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Solution Consultant Lead will be expected to manage between 4 to 6 medium to large IT solution projects at any given time, generally most of which do not support small enhancements.
The Solution Consultant Lead works with the business to deliver technology solutions for requirements identified by business.
This includes:
Develop business solution architectures
Develop of requirements and logical solution design documents
Facilitate JAD sessions and requirements gathering meetings
Perform business and systems analysis and develop gap analysis documents
Perform business and technical impact analysis
Develop project plans, at they relate to solution activities for integration with master project plan
Ensure project and technical review milestones are met
Conduct solution alternative analysis
Provide solution presentations to the project team
Conduct solution design reviews
Review all development and quality assurance related materials
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Business leadership, business consultants, managers and staff
IT leadership and project teams (Program/Project Manager, Business Segment Partners, System Transition team, other Solution Consultants, Regional Architects, Enterprise Engineering, other IT groups)
Outside vendors
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
This position requires a relevant college degree (or equivalent such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Management Information Systems-Masters degree preferred) with at least 10 years of information technology experience in the healthcare industry with at least 7 years in the solution definition capacity.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Highly desirable is consulting experience in a globally recognized organization with an emphasis in delivering complex enterprise-level integrated solutions in the healthcare industry.
Experience in management of large, complex, cross organizational IT and/or Health Care Projects
Ability to learn quickly and work independently
Experience with strategic and tactical IT planning strongly desired
Relevant Information Technology experience may include direct service area, business analysis, software development and design, or project management.
Experience and familiarity with software development life cycle processes and methodologies, business process management methodologies, computing technology alternatives analysis, and design and development of solutions for complex initiatives
Strong and demonstrated leadership, communication and relationship management skills with analysts staff and all project team members
Excellent Customer Relationship Management and Customer service skills; ability to understand a Customers business and how IT contributes to the delivery of that product or service; excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship building skills.
Significant experience working in a team environment and in a large organization with the following skills:
- Analysis and evaluation of hardware, software, tools, and related processes required to support proposed solution
- Development of preliminary solution architectures
- Development of alternative design solutions and design of high-level network models
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in Clinical/Healthcare Information Systems, Products, Technologies, and Interfaces is a huge plus
Consulting experience in a globally recognized organization with an emphasis in delivering complex enterprise-level integrated solutions in the healthcare industry and the radiology and imaging space.
Experience with new technologies such as mobile application and platforms is a plus
Business architecture knowledge
Business process reengineering/improvement
EPIC solution suite experience and knowledge
Experience with Legacy system transition and planning projects
CBAP certification is a plus
