Description
The Quality Manager will be required to:- Undertake quality assurance activities on various allocated projects.
- Perform Quality Assurance tasks such as reviewing and reporting with respect to:
1) project management products and processes covering: initiation, planning, risk and issue management, and project closure;
2) facilitation of specialist products, review and assurance. - Review on a monthly basis the project highlight report and create in addition the quality assurance highlight report, subsequently submit this report to the project board within the set deadlines.
- Perform coaching and bi-laterals with the assigned Project Manager.
- Provide contribution to the Quality Status on the assigned project for monthly reporting at Vice President level.
- Contribute to the revision and improvement of existing quality procedures and artefacts on a quarterly basis via meetings and workshops as applicable.
During the Intake of the project:
- create a quality mandate to be agreed with Project Board.
- review the project brief and create a quality assurance start-up report
- create a QA monthly highlight report.
- review and report on the Quality status of Project Initiation Document including product descriptions, cost/budget, stage plans, risks, architecture conformity approval and resources resulting in a quality assurance initiation report
- create a QA monthly highlight report.
- Deliver a stage gate review and report.
- provide updates to the quality register
- review the detailed plan, the product descriptions, risk/issue/, change management
- deliver quality assurance stage gate review reports
- deliver interim health check reports
- review the stage end report, Handover documentation, release of budget and resources, stakeholder approvals and closure of the Issue and risk logs
- Create a Quality Assurance Project closure report.
- Provide the Quality Status on the assigned project for monthly reporting at Vice President level.
- Produce Interim health check Quality reports referring to the Quality status of Project, Products and Processes in preparation for project board meetings.
- Work with the Project manager, but report and make the necessary recommendations to the Project Board.
- Contribute to the revision and improvement of existing quality procedures and artefacts on an ongoing basis, providing input for a Quarterly review.
- Very good Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and related quality standards (such as ISO 9000 series).
- Excellent knowledge of standard Project Management Methodologies (eg PRINCE 2).
- Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Very good knowledge about IT Governance Frameworks (eg CobiT ).
- Working knowledge of related industry quality standards (ISO, IEEE, ISTQB (ISEB), ideally with qualifications.
- Specific experience with:
- Project Management. (3-5 years previous experience as a Project Manager - minimum)
- Project planning tools (eg MS Project).
- Configuration Management and Version Control. - Familiar with enterprise desktop applications: IBM Lotus Notes, MS Office
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Experience in technical documentation creation.
