A company in Las Colinas has an immediate contract need for an Exchange Administrator. This person will provide 3rd level support performing 90% ticket resolution. The selected candidate will be the gatekeeper for their ticket que primarily responsible for working all basic tickets and working with team members to keep tickets flowing. This position requires HEAVY interaction with customers both on site but primarily phone.

Additional information regarding the Exchange Administrator role, this team only supports the application side. Server, Active Directory, patches, Security, new ID's, terminations, etc... is all handled by other teams. Strict change control is adhered to at all times including on the application support side. This environment contains 2003, 2007 and 2010 Exchange Systems. 2010 is the primary system. 2003 and 2007 are there for Legacy litigation restores. Exchange items like hub transport rules, system configuration etc is done by the senior FTE exchange administrator and manager.

So that expectations are understood from both parties, the selected candidate MUST be okay with the following:

  • Performing ticket resolution work 90% of the day.
  • Not having system access to be able to do system changes.
  • Okay NOT working on Servers or doing server builds.
  • Okay NOT doing Active Directory builds.
  • Working ONLY 40 hours per week (OT is not approved).
  • Working an 700 AM to 4:00 PM shift.
  • Must live a maximum of 30 minutes from the client's office, due to occasionally being on call.
  • Willing to stay on contract and eventually convert to a permanent employee should a perm slot open up.

To qualify you must have experience in one of the following: OCS (Office Communication Server), Lync and or Exchange 2010 in addition to experience performing the following Exchange ticket areas:

  • Setup/modify Distribution List.
  • Mailbox permissions.
  • Outlook issues in regards to email and calendar.
  • Activesync support.
  • Setup generic email addresses.
  • Mailbox full issues (assist user with cleanup).
  • Assign or troubleshoot esker fax numbers.
  • Email flow troubleshooting.
  • Analog device support.

Training will be provided for the other miscellaneous areas:

  • Office Communicator issues.
  • Live Meeting Support (OCS).
  • Setup a user for Unified Communications (OCS) - assign phone number.
  • Backup for TWIV (two way interactive video system).
  • Backup advanced desktop team.
  • Training end user on Office Communicator/Live Meeting.

    Zeacom (Call Center) integration into Salesforce (this team is the app owner).
