Description
This nationwide industry leader has an immediate 6+ month contract opening in Boca Raton, FL for a Cloud Network Architect. Will work the night shift and provide operational assistance with launches in both US and Japan. Will plan and implement enterprise networks and related hardware and software. Will design and document network architecture. Will perform assessment on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps. Will establish security (Firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters. Will provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure, test and tune security devices and systems, and program Routers and Switches. Will implement communications technologies (data or voice). Will manage network services from planning phase through implementation. May involve some travel. Start Time: 12:00 AM
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science
5+ years of experience in network engineering/operations
5+ years of experience with IT/Hosting, preferably in a server farm infrastructure environment
Experience with Juniper EX Series Network Routers/Switches, and other networking equipment and technologies (Brocade, F5, Nortel, Nokia, or Checkpoint)
F5 Load Balancer experience (especially with the API).
Heavy ISP or High IP Dense Network Architecture experience
Testing experience, especially using Spirent TestCenter to evaluate Network Performance.
Heavy documentation skills.
Advanced knowledge of Visio/CAD programs to create detailed physical and logical network diagrams.
Experience working in large-scale datacenter/LAN environment
Highly proficient in TCP/IP protocol suite, DNS, and IP space management
Ability to program in PHP, Perl, Unix Shell, Expect, and C and automate routine network management tasks.
Highly proficient with multiple operating systems (such as FreeBSD, Solaris, Linux, Windows, Virtualization), including advanced network configuration and protocol stack tuning
Prefer experience with full range of layer 1-7 technologies and protocols (advanced layer2, redundancy protocols, advanced OSPF, BGP, and other routing protocols, advanced layer 4-7 load-balancing, security, content management, and other technologies).
Prefer knowledge of advanced testing tools and technologies (stress-testing, load-generation, simulation)
Prefer CCIE & ITIL certification
Fluent in Japanese is a plus
