Marketing Dept, .NET Web Developer - Scottsdale, AZ
A leading Scottsdale, AZ company is seeking a .NET Web Developer to perform activities in support of their Marketing department.
Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables
- Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and releasing production level C# .NET applications as defined by various software specifications and the business requirements of company.
- Follow a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies and documentation, along with manage change controls.
- Benchmark and provide reporting/performance metrics on an ongoing basis.
- Work closely with the IT team and/or outside vendors to document and develop applications, manage change controls, Etc.
- Work with various departments on a regular basis to make regular updates to internal and external websites.
- Enhance our online web sites by collecting information from internal and external departments throughout company and participating in project review meetings, etc.
- Work on a variety of company-wide projects.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor Degree in a computer related field and 4+ years related experience.
- Experience using C#.NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, T-SQL, SQL SERVER , Web Services Development and .NET 1.0 and 2.0 framework.
- Experience in developing applications and web services with C#.NET and VB.NET is a must.
- Experienced in fundamental relational database design.
Skills
- Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, and CSS (style sheets.)
- Knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.)
- Competent working with XML and the .NET XML libraries that provide methods to read, write, process, and navigate through XML documents.
- Must be able to adhere to strict deadlines for major initiatives.
- Proven ability to apply problem-solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment with strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written.)
- Previous experience developing database-driven web applications.
- Demonstrated understanding of object-oriented design and development (OOA/OOD.)
- Excellent communication skills.
