Aston Carter are looking for a Business Analyst to join a Change team for a Tier 1 Bank.

The successful candidate must have financial services experience in the following:

- Collateral Management
- Business Analysis
- OTC Derivatives
- Finance
- Settlements
- Business Process Re-engineering
- Change Management
- Operations

Main Duties

*Key Operations challenges to overcome in conjunction with Technology and the project Working Group:
* Adapt Technology Workflow tool to accommodate requirements
* Define a scalable, controlled business process
* Overcome the dependency on downstream Finance/Settlements systems for interest processing
*Working in partnership with representatives from across the bank (Collateral Optimisation, Technology, cross-asset class Trading, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Sales and Operations) to determine the Operations requirements
*Document the analysis carried out (eg the production of process flows, use cases and scenarios).
*Working in partnership with IT groups as a central point of contact to convert requirements into specification; act as the bridge between the business & IT.
*Identification and management of issues/risks with appropriate timely escalation
*Work with key stakeholders to define testing standards to implement a globally consistent framework
*Coordination of regression testing activities; preparing scripts, performing tests and documenting results
*Provide go-live and post implementation support
*As in all project roles, a high degree of flexibility is required. Projects may involve long hours at critical stages in the project life cycle.
Person Requirements

Education/Professional Qualifications:
*Graduate with good honours degree or equivalent

Work Experience/Background:
Essential
*Good business analysis skills
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to prioritise, be flexible and respond to changing environments.
*Strong internal relationship management skills - this role require interaction across many areas of the organisation, the ability to relate to people and work in ad-hoc teams is critical.
*Attention to detail, delivering high quality output

Desirable
*Previous experience in collateral management operations/solid understanding of the margining process from an Operations perspective
*Experience in process improvement analysis and business process re-engineering.
*Good knowledge of investment banking processes and Operations
*Detailed specific product knowledge of OTC derivative products
*Knowledge of ongoing changes in OTC derivative market
*Experience within an Investment Bank

Business Skills & Knowledge:
*Broad knowledge of Capital Markets banking products
*Analytical skills. Ability to think logically to analyse problems
*Strong time management and ability to coordinate with various teams to action items
