DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Science Analyst will be responsible for assembling and developing various pre-existing and new analytic components written in SAS according to specifics, quality control and document internal consistency and accuracy of various analytic components and the completed tool, develop and execute additional functionalities. Will be accountable for developing software code and associated life cycle deliverables for PC and Mainframe applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements and maintains moderate to complex computer programs and subsystems.
  • Performs all of the steps required to design, test, and code such programs.
  • Develops procedures and operating instructions, and successfully moves programs into production.
  • Provides production support through problems analysis and resolution to correct deficiencies.
  • Performs assignments under direct supervision.
  • Analyze problem or new request; design problem or new request resolution.
  • Optimizing selling and general administrative expenses across therapeutic areas, brands and sales forces based on a variety of deterministic and probabilistic methods.
  • Identifying investment opportunities through segmentation, data mining techniques, promotional response modelling and optimization analyses.
  • Consulting with brand management to formulate strategy, identify potential tactical initiatives, enhance promotional programs and develop metrics for measuring/improving program execution.
  • Interprets process, data modules, and business requirements into software code.
  • Creating predictive analyses based on standard multivariate (techniques) methods for data analysis.
  • Designing optimization algorithms based on standard and ad-hoc operations research methods.
  • Develop program specifications.
  • Design testing requirements.
  • Code modules according to specifications and client standards.
  • Prepare test plan and test modules.
  • Develop and conduct program and system documentation.
  • Maintain application production environment.
  • Respond and resolve production problems and respond and resolve user inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent training or work experience required. Advanced degree in quantitative areas preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of two years as a software developer.
  • Excellent SAS (in particular SAS MACROS, DATASTEPS, STAT, OR, and SQL).
  • Experiences in applying econometric modelling, longitudinal analysis ( eg, survival analyses, logistic regression) and optimization are strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals a plus.
  • Must be a team player, have attention to details, experience in documentation, and excellent de-bugging skills.
