Link Technologies is currently recruiting for a Sr. System Test Engineer for our client in Las Vegas, Nevada. The St. System Test Engineer will conceive and develop System Test strategies, assess new System Test technology and develop significant new System Test processes. Technically lead more junior engineers and cross-functional teams. In support of management and in partnership with development, ensure test processes, practices and standards are executed for a defined scope of projects. Identify, coordinate and maintain the System Test automation schedule for projects. Responsible for getting the applicable System test environments defined, created and locked down by implementing change management controls and processes. Work with the Test Center of Excellence (Test CoE) to create detailed System Test plans and to participate in reviews of System Test plans, System Test designs and System Test automation. Work closely with System Test Designers. Communicate and collaborate with Function Test teams. Identify, coordinate and maintain the System Testing and release schedules for projects. Participate in reviews and inspections that pertain to the inputs for specifying System Test requirements as well as the System Test automation. Ensure that there is a closed loop from the system design to the test design to test execution to the defects identified.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

Work with others to develop System Test standards, processes, metrics, training and tools.

Implement System Test strategy within the System Test automation framework. Provide input to the test automation strategy. Support System test activities in accordance with Client's defined test processes.

Conduct Java code review to identify defects and deviations from coding standards.

Conduct security testing to identify any vulnerability in the code.

Create entry and exit criteria for each of the different System Testing phases, this includes both validation and verification (eg, Technical Reviews) as applicable.

Drive test deliverables on a project basis being responsive to schedule and quality requirements.

Design tests with re-use in mind to fast track quality testing of products.

Work with the development teams to gather schedules and milestones that impact System Test.

Keep management informed of project schedules, status, issues and metrics.

Define and implement System Test (verification and validation) practices, standards, metrics, training, and processes as they apply to System Testing.

Report Defect Reports promptly and thoroughly for defects & enhancements.

Meet company objectives of quality, timeliness and technical competence.

Drive design for testability.

Champion customer Defect Reports.

Measure and report on established metrics

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 7 years' experience in systems testing, software development, test automation and/or tool support/administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid Gaming License

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Knowledge of both technology and systems infrastructure.

Knowledge and experience with Java, Ruby, and test execution using capybara and TeamCity.

Possess an understanding of core development and test processes (eg, change management, release management, configuration management, requirements management and defect management).

Familiar with software development life cycle (SDLC) - requirement, design, construct, test, implement, maintain.

Familiar with all facets of the Test CoE organization and the related development and test technologies. This includes operating systems, hardware, networks, Middleware, web infrastructure, databases, tools, etc.

Familiar with all phases and types of testing (unit, integration, function, system/performance, system/end-to-end, user acceptance, etc.)

Skills in project management and coordination.

Good written and verbal communication skill, including presentation skills.

Ability to seek and evaluate alternative courses of action.

General knowledge of one or more technical areas and the applications and processes that support them.

Understanding of CS, MIS, or EE.

General knowledge of both technology and systems infrastructure.

Possess an understanding of core development management processes (eg, change management, release management, configuration management and requirements management).

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

Regular scheduled hours - Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must be flexible, if needed, for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
