Description
This growing nationwide industry leader has an immediate 6+ month contract opening in New York City for a Senior Project Manager to manage a large retail project. Will develop detailed project plans and schedules, assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. Will define activities, sequence them accordingly, estimate duration, and develop project schedules. Will charter projects, determine scope definition, develop project plans, verify with business owners, and manage change control. Will perform resource planning, cost estimation, and cost control. Will plan communication and documentation, and distribute information and status reports. Will facilitate and implement conflict resolution techniques to ensure timely resolution of critical, time-sensitive issues.
This position requires:
8+ years of combined experience within program development, systems analysis and/or project management. Experience and background in retail industry.
Experience with software development life cycle and ability to conversant in IT technology terminology.
Must be able to coordinate and drive third party activities.
Proficiency in MS Project.
Working knowledge of all functional areas of MIS (software development, operating systems, networks, problem/change management, and project management methodologies).
Working knowledge of technical/system products.
Prefer credit systems/Switches experience and bank credit certification.
Prefer candidates based in NYC or Toronto, ONT Canada.
Prefer Bachelor's degree.
Prefer fluency in Mandarin Chinese and/or Japanese.
