Description
My client in Brussels is looking for an IT Storage Specialist to start as soon possible. You will be working within a team of 2 people, responsible for the architecture, configuration and maintenance of a large storage and SAN environment with multiple OS Servers, UNIX (Sun/AIX/Linux), Windows OS and VVMWare ESX.
- You will be recruited to configure and maintain a backup/recovery infrastructure using TSM Storage and physic tape robots or virtual tape library.
- You will be expected to monitor SAN performance and storage on Servers and storage systems.
- You must have the following knowledge and experience:
TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager V5 and or V6) - including install/update and day to day
Management of Hitachi Storage AMS
Management of HP Storage (XP20000)
We are looking for people with good competence in the following:
TSM server & TDP (Oracle/ERP/MS SQL/Exchange)
Storage - SAM and LVM Configuration on Unix hosts (Solaris/AIX/Linux)
VIO - AIX storage configuration
Unix knowledge and understanding
Veritas Volume Manager (Solaris)
IBM Pseries and bladecentre management
SUN M5000 and other SUN hardware
Virtualisation - zoning on Solaris, Ipar's and Vio on AIX
DB's - Oracle, Informix, MySQL
- You must have a minimum of 5 years SAN & TSM administration experience.
- You will need English plus either French or Dutch.
Good rates of pay; This will be a 6 month rolling contract for the right person.
