For our client we are looking for a information system software engineer Oracle.

The candidate will:
- develop software modules for the ATS Support - Information System. This includes designing, developing, maintaining and providing support on database applications in the areas of staff rostering, air traffic statistics, Datawarehouse and various ATC data evaluation applications;
- Perform modifications to the given source code, documentation and test suite.
- Review requests for changes, clarify the understanding of the needs, perform prototyping where necessary, and create unambiguous software specifications.
- Analyse modifications required to source code, documentation and test suite, and define test scope, to implement problem fixes and changes.
- Perform and document tests in line with test scope defined before.
- Arrange review of own source code, documentation and test results by peers.
- Review source code, documentation, test suite changes and test results performed by peers. - Perform investigation of problems and identify solutions.
- Debrief on the status of work and potential technical and schedule problems.
- Execute tasks in accordance with applicable quality and safety management procedures.

The expert shall comply with the following characteristics (R = required; D = desirable):

The proposed expert shall have:
- Higher Technical Education in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent professional knowledge (R)
- Practical experience in analysing and discussing operational and technical specifications (R)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills (R)
- Very good oral and written communication skills, with some experience in writing technical documentation (R)
- Ability to work with a customer and team oriented approach in an international environment (R)
- General knowledge of software design principles (R)
- Experience in the development of Statistics & Management Information (D)

Technical/Professional qualification
- At least 5 years of experience in Datawarehouse design and developing database applications in Oracle (R)
- Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL (R)
- Knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripting, PHP, JAVA and/or other programming languages (R)
- Knowledge of Oracle Reports and/or Business Objects is considered to be an asset (D)
- Background knowledge in Aviation and specifically ATC to understand what are the Flight Plan, Airspace Structures, Controlled Sectors, NavAids, Environmental Database, Aircraft Performance etc. is considered to be an asset (D)

Language Requirements
The expert will join an international working environment with staff from various nationalities. English is the predominant working language. As such, an excellent knowledge of the English language (written and spoken) is required (R). All the document(s) to be reviewed and produced will be in the English language.
