OVERVIEW:
The Operations Supervisor position provides direction to various team members and interacts with both CompuCom and customer management. This is a supervisor role first and a technical leadership role second with a good mix of both.
The Operations Supervisor will:- Identify, prioritize, and communicate all system and process issues that affect productivity and efficiency, while providing input and support for necessary improvements.
- Participate with the customer in the strategic design process to identify additional service opportunities.
- Develop and recommend solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure.
- Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Provide leadership, ensuring that assigned team members meet or exceed goals.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers.
- Consult with customers regularly to identify needs, develop and implement proposals.
- Evaluate current procedures and processes for accomplishing department objectives. Continuously develops and implements improved practices.
- Provide continuing project evaluation and feedback to team members.
- Provide work directions, resolve problems, prepare schedules, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work, efficiency, and economy.
- Ensure team understands all company and department systems, policies, and procedures.
- Provide training, coaching, and counseling to subordinates for continuous improvement throughout the systems integration functions.
- Train less experienced staff as required.
- Take responsibility for proper escalation, communications, and management of production system problems.
- Prepare reports on department activities for executive management.
- Identify and prioritize system requirements and enhancements, and communicate to executive management.
- Develop custom SQL queries and reports
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must Have Strong custom SQL reporting and query development experience preferred
- Requires 5-10 years of related work experience
- Bachelor's degree, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience desired
- Previous supervisory or management experience, strong analytical skills, soft skills, and customer service abilities
- Experience in IT management of desk side and remote distribution services preferred
- Extremely good interpersonal and leadership skills with a proven track record of leading teams successfully
