Qualifications- Programmer for the I.R.S
Required
Programming experiences in ONE of these: C#, VB, Java, or Javascript
SQL Server 2005 or 2008 DBA experience
Transact-SQL development experience
Windows Server administration experience
Experience supporting COTS systems.
5 years experience including Java, JavaScript, SQL Server, Sharepoint, ASP.NET, Oracle, IIS or Apache Web Server
Experience in SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
Experience in networking principles and technologies
Optional, but desired:
Software development experience in C#/VB/ASP.NET, JavaScript, or Java
Software Development Lifecycle experience
Working as part of a development/integration team
xMatters (formally called AlarmPoint) administration experience
SharePoint development experience
Knowledgeable with Scripting languages
Knowledgeable with SNMP

2. SCOPE
Support includes, but is not limited to
Customizing xMatter Alert Management system for alerting/notification.
Performing system administration of windows 2003 Servers.
Maintaining xMatter Alert Management System and HP network automation MS SQL databases.
Working with other network management systems (NMS) tools administrators to integrate xMatter Alert Management System with other NMS.
Perform Scripting, automation file maintenances, regular expression rule updates, and TCL Scripting code updates for custom IRS written rules.
Ensure Servers and Databases are backed up.
3. TECHNICAL DIRECTION
Technical direction will come from the IRS Network Management Control Center Management staff and designated IRS or Contractor technical leads. Buyer reserves the right to increase or decrease the level of effort required as appropriate.

Place of Performance is expected to be New Carrollton Federal Building/Lanham, MD

6. CLEARENCE REQUIRED PRIOR TO START
Candidates with a current valid IRS issued Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) interim or final clearance, or a currently active Top Secret (TS) clearance issued within the past two years are highly preferred. Consideration will be given to exceptionally qualified candidates who do not hold one of these two clearances, if their ability to obtain a Public Trust level clearance can be demonstrated through prior issuance of a Public Trust or higher level clearance by a Federal Agency. Proof of current or prior clearance must be submitted with the applicants Resume.
