Unix Design Engineer
Halian is an international IT services company working with some of the world's most ambitious and dynamic organizations. We deliver integrated Managed Services, Resourcing Services and Professional Services.
We are currently looking for a Unix Design Engineer - Solaris Expert for a long term contract, for one of our major clients in Brussels.

Mission:
You'll be in charge of the engineering and maintenance within a Unix and Linux environment with focus on Sun Solaris.
As a Unix design expert, you will guide the design of the Unix environment and be actively involved in different projects.
You will work in close collaboration with design engineers in other areas and the Unix administrators' team.

Profile:
- You have at least 5 years experience as Senior Unix Engineer (engineering, maintenance and support) with planning & project management skills and experience.
- You have a strong knowledge of Sun Solaris 9, 10, 11. The knowledge of others Systems is a strong asset (Red Hat, HP/UX, ...)
- You have effective experience with Sun M- & T-series, X86, HP Superdome integrated in a SAN, as well as knowledge of related tools.
- You have a good knowledge of Veritas Suite (Storage Foundation (HA), Veritas Clustering System, Veritas Operations Manager), Virtualization on the different OS's (LDOm, zoning), VMWare fundamentals.
- You are fluent in French and/or Dutch and English
