The group is firing up a new operations team. The mission is to take on three areas that enable the team to deliver faster and increase agility.

We are looking for a Data Analyst who can dig deep into big complex data sets, setup data reporting solutions, work with product owners to identify operational and business metrics, and dive into problems. You will setup the Business Intelligence solution. You will lead improving visibility into the data through dash boarding and metrics. You will provide business teams with the data they need to understand the payment component of their business. You will help explore problems and trends in payments and enable the team and business leaders with the data they need to make critical business direction decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Setup the solution for aggregating data and generating dashboards.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify and explain trends.
- Develop new insights and analyses enable the team to operate highly available, high performance, and customer enabling systems.
- Deeply understand payment data, its life cycle, how software works with it, and what it means.
- Setup dashboards, alerts, and define standards for metrics.
- Investigate anomalies and trends with the help of Analysts, Operations Engineers, Software Engineers, Database Engineers around the world.
- Work directly with leads, managers, and directors across Global Payments and Core Engineering to collect requirements and conceive reports, visuals, and dashboards.
Requirements:
- 3 years as a data analyst in an E-commerce environment.
- Direct experience setting up a data aggregation and intelligence solution.
- Proven experience writing complex SQL queries across complex database structures. If you do not know joins and cursors, this is not the role for you.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance to identify tasks and deliver.
- Proven flexibility in response to changing priorities and unfolding investigations.
- Experience with Real Time data and the power it provides software and business teams.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including ability to work comfortably with pivots and statistical functions.
- Good understanding of statistics as they relate to metrics and reporting.
- Ability to effectively work with people from around the world.
- Familiarity with service-based product development including software development processes, service oriented architectures, and software operations.
- BA or BS degree in a technology, mathematics, or science field.
