Resource Manager - Banking - London - Circa £350 per day

A leading retail bank requires a Resource Manager to participate in a major divestment programme, they will be responsible for supporting the PMO Lead by leading the resourcing processes across the Operations programme.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Adhere to appropriate recruitment processes and funding approval to support programmes growth and to ensure alignment to the resource plan
  • Manage the co-ordination and tracking of resource plans via the Resource Management Tool, onboarding of staff and other resource related matters
  • Provide input and support in the co-ordination and management of the workstream budget
  • Ensure timely and accurate weekly MI reporting is published reflecting actual and pipleline resourcing against plan
  • Ensure lead times are communicated and understood for recruitment, vetting, contract renewal, etc ensuring programme resources are available when required or highlighted when risks or issues occur
  • Represent PMO at regular resourcing forums and act as first port of call for all resourcing issues or questions

Core Skills and Experience

  • Experience of recruitment and funding approval
  • Proactive leader with proven ability to take ownership
  • Ability to understand resourcing needs across the team
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Excel, Powerpoint, Visio and Word
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including facing off to senior management
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to carry out analysis

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Good knowledge of project management disciplines including change management, Risk & Issue Management and dependency management
  • Skills in managing plans using Microsoft Project
  • Ability to manage changing work priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • Experience of having work in Lloyds and so good understanding and knowledge of their Project Management tools, methodology and Group wide systems ie, Order IT etc
  • Previous experience in working in other general PMO's
