The Windows Phone Marketplace is the fastest growing mobile app store in the world with over 60,000 apps and games in just the first 15 months since its launch, with 100's of new apps being added every day from developers and publishers around the world.
Our high-visibility client is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to maintain a Datawarehouse and extract data used for analysis. We are seeking someone who is passionate about data mining, analysis, and enabling a business to make data-driven decisions.
This is a position that has big impact. This is a BI and Analytics team delivers data and insights that drive business and changes how the company sources and sells mobile apps. This team powers the analytics behind the world of Windows Phone apps. As an Analyst on this team, you will be a dedicated resource on BI and Analytics projects and will work with bright people in a cool, fast-growing business.
- 4+ years of Datawarehouse solution experience including strong SQL skills
- 3+ years BI testing experience, including an understanding of the business requirements
- Detailed Datawarehouse development knowledge including experience writing complex T-SQL and ETL's
- Broad OLAP Experience including writing MDX queries, VBA
- Practical experience with Microsoft SQL stack, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and related technologies (eg writing complex T-SQL and MDX queries)
- BI platform experience: SQL Analysis Service (SSAS), Integration Service (SSIS), SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), Reporting tools (Excel, PPS), COSMOS
- Experience with Enterprise Data architecture, data integration patterns
- Experience with Business Intelligence applications such as Data Mining, KPI, Dashboard, BI Business Models
- Agile development practice experience (eg SCRUM, Kanban)
- Large enterprise software experience
- Passionate smart phone user
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence, and ability to collaborate well with cross functional groups and virtual teams to effectively solve technical challenges
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience through a product cycle with track record of shipping with high quality on schedule
- Strong cross team collaboration and organizational skills
This contract position is expected to be one year in duration.
