Please note that due to the nature of the client and the work, all candidates for the HR Manager/MCIPD HR Manager role must gain BPSS clearance (if not already held)

My Public Sector/Central Government client is looking for a HR Manager/MCIPD HR Manager.

This HR Manager/MCIPD HR Manager role will be working:

*As a member of the senior HR management team, joint responsibility for developing the HR strategy, HR plans and budgets and leading the HR function
*Defining HR service requirements to support current and anticipated business strategies and plans
*Influencing the development of new and existing policies, customer focused processes and products, working collaboratively with business and HR colleagues
*Building and managing strong and successful working relationships with business managers across the organisation, and actively participating in business meetings
*Driving the implementation of key people-related strategies and initiatives in the business, working closely with other HR colleagues and the business
*Coaching and providing clear and balanced professional advice on a wide range of HR issues, best practice, legislation, analysis and interpretation of data
*Ensuring good, consistent and regular communication within the function at a time of significant change
*Directing the activities of the HR Policy/Engagement, Reward, Learning & Development and Diversity functions
*Leading on major change initiatives and projects, as required

Skills needed by the ideal HR Manager/MCIPD HR Manager are:
*MCIPD Qualification
*Experience in senior HR management roles across public/private sector organisations
*Proven track record of providing clear, balanced, expert advice and business-focused solutions to senior stakeholders
*Significant employee relations experience, including handling complex case work, pay and reward issues and effectively working with Trade Unions
*Strong evidence of success in delivering a customer focused HR service
*Self-confidence and good presentation skills with the ability to debate and present at board level
*Significant experience of working in organisations where major change is happening and of supporting and leading change
*Well honed influencing skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
*Travel to other sites as required
