Modis is currently seeking a Senior Front End Developer for an exciting contract to hire with our large banking client in the downtown Chicago area. Located conveniently next to Chicago's Union Station, Ogilvie Station and multiple CTA stops, this is the perfect location for commuters!
Our client is looking to interview and hire immediately, with an anticipated start date between . This role is guaranteed to convert to a permanent position by August 2012.
JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is a team member position on a project that is currently building out the presentation layer for an international credit card payment application, written in Java and open-source technologies.
- Primary responsibilities will be to develop the Front End user interface for these websites and web-based applications using JQuery and custom JavaScript libraries (primarily DOJO, custom widgets, etc).
- Candidates should have experience in rich client JavaScript development, with heavy JSON integration for WebServices
- Our client relies heavily on integrating the presentation layer with the Server Side and database components, thus JDBC connectivity and a working knowledge of open-source development for Java apps (Spring, MVC, Hibernate, Struts) is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Required Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years IT Experience. This is a Team Member position with growth potential
- Expertise in JQuery and JavaScript custom libraries (DOJO, Widgets)
- Exposure to Drools Workflow Management is a huge plus!
- Strong JSON integration to Webservices is required
- Some Back End development, primarily JDBC connectivity, is required.
- Strong SQL and Database skills
